Fireworks

Went to Putrajaya for fireworks today. It's the annual fireworks competition, didja know? They have it every year (annual)...almost went last year, but didn't. Well, we should have gone, it would have been worth our while.

Canada was up today, and they were

Spectacular! Magnificio! Vunderful!
Not that i had any prior experience to compare with when it comes to fireworks la, only Ikano's budget fireworks during merdeka. heh.

Well, they were amazing, even though Kin Onn didn't think they were very good. They had synchronized the fireworks with music, and today's theme was 'Titanic-We Will Rock You'. Yea, i didn't really get it either...but nevertheless, awesome!

I don't have any pictures though, cos i didn't/don't have a camera. Hopefully Hoc Mun puts up some.

In other news, PJPD is just around the corner (Saturday). We're all excited, pumped up, ready to PRAY :

This Saturday, 23rd August '08 is Petaling Jaya Prayer Day (PJPD)

Wha'? A day of prayer and fellowship, in conjunction with NECF's 40 days of Fast and Prayer.
12pm-6pm : Fast, Worship, Prayer
6 pm onwards : BUKA PUASA, baybeh!
We will be covering (prayer over 6 topics - according to the NECF prayer booklet) Personal, Family, Community, Government, Marketplace, The Church of Malaysia.
*and whatever else, as the Spirit leads.

Why? Because REVIVAL is coming, God is calling His people to gather to pray, more rapidly and more, than ever before. Because His word says

"If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." - 2 Chron 7:14

and also

Gather the people,
consecrate the assembly;
bring together the elders,
gather the children,
those nursing at the breast.
Let the bridegroom leave his room
and the bride her chamber.

Let the priests, who minister before the LORD,
weep between the temple porch and the altar.
Let them say, "Spare your people, O LORD.
Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn,
a byword among the nations.
Why should they say among the peoples,
'Where is their God?' "

For what? For God to HEAL this land, for JUSTICE to prevail, for SALVATION for the Rakyat!
