Love that never fails, that isn't unfaithful even when we, Hosea's wives, are. Love that waits for us to commune, to sup with Him everyday. Love that gathers us as a hen gathers her young and takes away our fears. Consistent, unwavering, unconditional, steadfast and strong; a fortress where we find refuge from our cruelest enemies, yet at the same time a soft, gentle balm for our wounded hearts. Love that conquered death and covers a multitude of sins.
Here is Love, vast as the ocean loving-kindness as a flood when the Prince of Life, our ransom Shed for us His precious blood.
Animals have these advantages over man: They have no theologians to instruct them, their funerals cost them nothing, and no one starts lawsuits over their wills. - Voltaire
